I have the same phone and i never had any issues. Call Apple if you still have a problem

Please try again later.Hello, the Voyager 5220 is compatible with the iPhone 8, please try the following to pair: 1) Power off and on both devices. 2) Press and hold the call button until the LED flashes red/blue on your headset. 3) Open the Bluetooth menu on your phone and tap on the headset's name.
