The only time I don't have this device hanging on my ear is when I am showering or sleeping. I use it on my desktop and laptop computers, my Samsung cell phones as well as a work provided flip phone. When at work I have both my personal and work cell phones connected at the same time. I don't have Bluetooth on my landline home phone so can't answer that question
