No. You have to add water to the reservoir. It does make a good bit of ice with the amount of water it holds though.

Unfortunately it does not, it requires you to manually fill it with water, it does however hold a good amount of water and as the collection tray sits about the reservoir any ice that melts, melts back into the reservoir so you don't have to worry about constantly refilling the reservoir.

Just fill with water till the water reaches the bottom of the basket. Once the machine starts to make ice, its good to go.
