QuestionDoes the entire top area (not just the clear part) lift up for thorough cleaning? Can there be more pictures and material provided on this? How you create your own brand and be so skimpy on these things?

- Answer Clean the ice maker at least once a week or every three days if your water quality is poor. To run the self-cleaning cycle, fill the reservoir to the MAX water line with clean water, then press the ON/OFF button for more than five seconds. The self-cleaning cycle starts. When the self-cleaning cycle is done (about 30 minutes), unplug the drain plug on the front bottom to drain the water. Clean the exterior and interior with diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth. Rinse with clean water.

- Answer Remove the ice from the basket and use it or you can freeze the ice. After the ice is made it slowly begins to melt into the reservoir. Your ice maker recycles the water to make ice again.

- Answer It makes whats called "bullet ice". Looks like a bullet but hollow. You can select large or small "bullets". The whole household says its very good "chewing ice".

- Answer No. You have to add water to the reservoir. It does make a good bit of ice with the amount of water it holds though.

- Answer Just pop it out and clean it. But be forewarned. If you don't use distilled water to make your ice, depending on where you live and how often you clean it, it can get pretty slimy and nasty.

QuestionLooks exactly the same as Kismile Countertop 26Lbs/24H Compact Portable Ice Cube Maker on another etailer website. However, that one claims to have self cleaning. Does this model branded by bb also have self cleaning mode?

- Answer Yes it does. Below the on off button it says l, "hold 5s - clean". If you push that down for 5 seconds it will enter self cleaning mode and works great. They should really highlight this because I didn't know it was self-clean until I got it home.
