Thank you for reaching out, no, the unit does not require a filter replacement. If you are experiencing issues with the unit cooling, turn off switches on the back and unplug your machine. While the machine is turned off and unplugged, dispense about 4 cups of water from the cold dispenser. Then, plug the machine back on and turn on only the green switch. Allow one hour for the unit to cool the water before checking the temperature.
