No you can’t change the buttons with the Pro-Controller unless the game your playing allows it. But it does feel better using the Pro-Controller because the buttons are much bigger making it feel a bit more natural to use A as the jump button for a Mario game.

If that software offers control remapping as a feature, then you can, but changing controllers won't make a difference. I will say the Pro Controller is really comfortable and feels great in your hands. :-)
