Are you referring to the backrest’s pivot bracket? There may be a little give in the adjustable holes in order to allow adjustment to be made most easily. If this “wobble” interferes with the performance of the bench, however, we would want to investigate to ensure the bench is working properly as designed.

Great question! In addition to the included tools, proper assembly will require an adjustable wrench and a Phillips screwdriver. Assembly may be easier if you have a set of wrenches available.
