• Your filter indicator is on a timer that will go off every six months to remind you to change the filter. If you've had a power outage, it could reset your filter indiciator light as you have mentioned and cause it to stay green. Thank You, Frigidaire

• mine does the opposite, it actually goes red after very limited use. i think the sensors are not quality and should not be relied on. the filter has only 6 month life span and shorter if you consume much water.

• The power failure could reset it. . . after a year I would just replace it anyways. . . also, if there is any taste or if the water flows slowly. . . just go ahead and change it.
