You need to change the cabin air filter in your fridge as instructed by the fridge manufacturer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.my icemaker froze up, and i am trying the replacement of the water filter, as i probably used more than 200 gallon in past one year, 4 months. It says to replaceevery 6 months. 200 gallons for $40.00. Not bad, 6 times cheaper than a gallon of spring water. by $1.10 a gallon. 200 gallons @ $40.00 per filter on your figidare, and only wish that is my icemaker problem. I wish a tech from frigidare would answer this blog.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it's been over a year since you have changed your filter, your water and ice will have a peculiar taste and smell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think that your problem is not the filter, since I already pass by this problem with another cooler and the problem is that the packaging of the door where are the wires is not running, or the packaging where assembles the door of the refrigerator can be damaged and there is filtered by the smells of what guards inside the cooler
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The water filter should be replaced every 6 months; however, this would not be the cause of the ice smelling or tasting like leftovers. The main cause of this is because air circulates from the refrigerator cabin to the freezer. Therefore, if there is any open food in the refrigerator the ice will take on that smell. This will happen with any refrigerator brand. We recommend sealing all leftovers in tupperware to prevent this from happening in the future.
