Yes, your body will build tolerance to the sensation from the electrodes. What I have found works best for ME, is to calibrate each time I put it back on. I will actually wait until I can feel sensations on the opposing sides of the electrodes, basically each end, instead of when I first feel the "tingle" That way, the baseline intensity is higher. It is also possible that your particular kind of pain is just not as easily managed. I don't mind the multiple calibrations to ensure the best effective usage. It has been a welcome addition to my pain management regimen and I have been able to come off of some pharma.
