• I would assume so, since I was able to open my files from Quicken 2007 into the new format. Remember once upgraded, they are no longer available in the old format, unless of course, you have them backed up in the old format.

• You can convert your Quicken 2009 file to Quicken 2017, but you will need to user intermediate versions to convert your file. See this FAQ for more information: https://www.quicken.com/support/how-and-when-use-intermediate-version-convert-older-versions-quicken
