• I believe codes are good for 12 (not 24) months from being installed, via registration against Quicken's servers.

• You can buy it now and apply it to your Quicken account and it just adds 12 months to whatever your current end date is. I always buy Quicken when I see it on sale, put the code in and then don't need to worry about it renewing at their regular price.
