“Why do I have to keep subscribing to Quicken if I don't want access to online tools? I only want to be able to keep track of what I input into the program. I don't need bill paying or online backup, etc.”

I was also highly disappointed that quicken went the way of “Microsoft Office” program with the yearly subscription tactic. This is nothing more than a money grab. I believe you can buy the program outright for a now astronomical price but the days of purchasing it for under $75.00 are long gone. You might do some research out there for another company/ program that will act as a automatic check book but be very careful on allowing this to connect directly to your bank account to balance. That is the only down side I see. Good luck and post something if you strike gold out there with something similar.
