• The small holographic tag on mine says: "13A 125V 1625W" Seems the amp rating is below what is needed. Hope this helps!

• According to the product specifications page, this plug is rated for 120V at 15A. The wire inside the jacket must be stranded since it is flexible, and feels to be around 14 gauge (I could be wrong as I have not cut it open to check). If you're concerned about it overheating and melting from the demand of your refrigerator, I would suggest installing a recessed outlet so you don't need to use an adapter.
