• The mouse is plug and play but if you want to configure dpi, macros, and rgb you have to install the Razer Synapse software

• This mouse is plug and play but if you want additional customization such as changing the lighting and reprogramming the buttons, then you have to download the software. The software is called “Razer Synapse”
