• Yes, this mouse can be connected either using a USB receiver or by pairing it with your device directly on Bluetooth. If using Bluetooth you will not take up a USB port, though there is a little more lag than connecting with the receiver. You can use the receiver with one device and Bluetooth with another, switching between the two.

• yes you can, there's a switch on the very bottom of the mouse for 2.4 Ghz (usb dongle), off, and bluetooth.
