Rubber backing and the top is good quality cloth material. The mouse works great with this pad. I think it will last a long time.

Dense rubber, up side smooth, down side has a bit of a pattern.

Cloth. Imagine the top layer of a regular mouse pad without the padding. Like microfiber. About as thick as a tshirt.

Thin robber with a fabric layer

The top of the mouse pad is made of a lovely black clothe with the subtle logo on one corner. Clothe may be a proprietary blend, bcz it's very soft & the color is so rich. The underside is a rich black rubber-like material. Has not stained any of the surfaces I've placed it on, exhibits no clothe pills or come apart.

Its a soft, but sturdy fabric material. It will cover dust, but a quick clean clears that up fast.

It has a high-quality textured cloth and mat is a soft-type.
