• Turn the mute switch off on the cord. My son had the same problem and that was how he corrected it.

• I had to remove the extender part of the cable, which shortened it significantly (in a good way, for my purposes). Plugging the headphone straight into the controller after removing the extender did the trick for me. Hopefully it does for him, as well.

• If your son is using this headset on his Xbox, he will need an adapter to have both the microphone jack and the stereo jack plugged into the same port at the same time.
