• The charging dock is also the wireless receiver so in order to use the mouse in wireless mode, it must be connected to a USB port. The mouse can also operate in wired-mode where the USB cable is unplugged from the dock and plugged directly into the mouse instead.

• The charging dock does have to be connected if you are going to charge the mouse using the dock or obviously using the mouse as it does not have bluetooth link. However, you can connect the mouse to the USB as well. If you don't need wireless and don't want the dock around.

• Yes it does, the USB comes with the mouse and dock, you can swap the mini usb from the mouse itself, to the charging dock and the mouse will then work wirelessly.

• There is no dock you charge it when it connected by usb
