This may be due to several reasons: Two stations broadcasting "near" each others frequency; bad tuner or some other unknown variable. Does this happen with this antennae only, swap antennae with another device to test if the same thing happens with another tuner. Sometimes just moving the face 45-90 degrees, positioning near a window instead of a wall, or raising the height helps resolve reception issues.

Only two things it could be is the transmission information from the transmission towers or your TV is reading the signal wrong. The antenna doesn't assign channels it just receives signals.
