Two of my TVs are not close enough to hang in a window. I placed the antenna on the wall above the TV trying it in several locations to receive the most channels.. The TV that was close enough to a window received more channels hanging the antenna above the window. I tried locating the antenna in the window but received more channels locating the antenna above the window. Download the RCA App , RCA Signal Finder to direct the antenna in the best direction for your area, very simple to use as well

Please try again later.Al, if the best window location is farther from the TV, the recommended approach is to add a coax extension using a standard coax connector (barrel coupler) and only the amount of cable needed to reach that spot. Keeping the added cable run as short as practical helps minimize signal loss, since excess length can reduce signal strength. After relocating the antenna, run a new Channel Scan/Auto Program so your TV can lock in the channels available from that new placement.
