• NO. The adaptors which is a small cord does not work. I have tried 15 of them, even the store couldn't make them work.

• Hi, Helen! Yes, you can use an adapter to connect this reader to your phone. They will be a 3rd party adapter as we do not make our own. Make sure your phone is compatible here: squareup.com/compatibility.
