Hey! Yes, you can definitely manually enter credit card information into the Point of Sale app if you're taking a payment over the phone. The fee for manually entered transactions is higher, 3.5% + $0.15. The free processing mentioned in one of the answers only applies if you sign up via a referral link from a friend or another seller.

You can and the fee is the same as if you do a card swipe.

There is an option to manually enter card information, yes. If it’s a brand new account (that is, your first square account - they track by social security #), you generally get free transactions up to the first thousand. After that, there is a fee for all transactions. Swiped cards incur a charge of 2.6 percent plus 10 cents per transaction. Keyed cards incur a charge of 3.5 percent plus 15 cents per transaction.

Yes, you can manually enter in information with the app on your phone. Square does charge an extra fee for manually entering in info
