Hey! Yes, you can definitely manually enter credit card information into the Point of Sale app if you're taking a payment over the phone. The fee for manually entered transactions is higher, 3.5% + $0.15. The free processing mentioned in one of the answers only applies if you sign up via a referral link from a friend or another seller.

If it’s a brand new account (that is, your first square account - they track by social security #), you generally get free transactions up to the first thousand. After that, there is a fee for all transactions. Swiped cards incur a charge of 2.6 percent plus 10 cents per transaction. Keyed cards incur a charge of 3.5 percent plus 15 cents per transaction.
