No just iPhone with the lighting port

I bought this for my wife's business. Her new iphone 8+ identified the reader, but her credit card processing service (Elavon) did not recognize it.

You can check to see if your mobile device is compatible with the Square Reader for magstripe by heading over to this page and locating your mobile device using the drop-down menus: squareup.com/compatibility

Only works on iphones, iphone 5 and up that use lightning connection. Also does not work for samsung, lg, or any brand besides apple.
