• Sorry that you are having problems with your remote. I just think that you have a bad remote and you get a replacement from Insignia.

• Maybe how your picking your remote up ?? I have an Insignia Smart TV with Roku. I'm also right handed. Recently brought a second Insignal remote. I have NO problems picking up or handle my remote.
