This bed does not include a wall-gliding (wall-hugger) mechanism. With standard adjustable bases like this one, so elevating the head will naturally increase the distance from the nightstand. You may be a bit farther from the nightstand. Many customers use a slightly closer nightstand placement to accommodate this.
