Hi Phyllie, A single 200-watt solar panel is generally not enough to reliably power both a refrigerator and a television. While the panel can generate power, its output is limited and inconsistent; it produces no power at night and significantly less on cloudy days. Refrigerators, in particular, require a substantial amount of energy, drawing a large surge of power when the compressor starts up. To power these appliances consistently, you need a complete solar system that includes a battery to store energy for nighttime use, an inverter to convert the power into the AC electricity your appliances use, and a charge controller to manage the system safely. If you would like help calculating the right system size for your camper, please give us a call at (1) 909-287-7111. We're open Monday through Friday from 6 am to 5 pm PST.
