Hello, yes the Winix replacement filter A will fit the 5500-2. You would use 1 true HEPA and 1 carbon filter, along side the pre-filter. You then should change the carbon filter every 3 months and the true HEPA approximately every 12 months or when the check filter indicator comes on.
