Hi - Part GWF has been superseded to Part MWF/MWFP. Improved, replacement version of MWF. A carbon based filter with GE's Advanced Filtration. MWF and MWFP are interchangeable (can be used in any refrigerator that uses the MWF). Advanced Filtration reduces 5 pharmaceuticals that are often found in trace amounts in tap water: fluoxetine, trimethoprim, progesterone, ibuprofen, and atenolol. (Pharmaceuticals claims tested by independent laboratory.
