“Confusing filter replacement info. I have an RFG297HD model. Your answers say to replace with a DA29-003B or a later model DA29-00020B. What is the difference between them and is the cost the same and the life the same? Also, one of your answers said to replace with a HAF-CIN. Which do you recommend?”

Regarding your concern, this water filter is not compatible with your refrigerator. The water filter compatible with your refrigerator would be the refrigerator with model number: HAF-CIN,FEAT4 or DA29-00020B. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The RFG297HD uses the DA29-00020B (also known as HAF-CIN) filter. Some earlier versions of the RFG297 did use the other cartridge (DA29-0003B which is also known as HAFCU1), but that one won't fit in the housing for the RFG297HD. These two filters are entirely different shapes and sizes since they're designed for different styles of filter housing. I hope this clarifies- Ms. Samsung
