Also developers have stated that the speed in which a physical cartridge can be read isn't fast enough for some game to run properly, they need to be read off the internal storage or MircoSD Express to run. Like FF7 Remake. The game key card at least provides you a resell option.

Download them to a Micro SD Express Card and it's there forever... you do not need the servers to play the game, only to download it 1 time. This whole Key Card hate is overblown.
