I use the highest setting but I’ve only used on damp hair. I don’t think you would obtain the best results with dry hair. The different settings are for the amount of tension. I use the higher setting to get straightest results. If I were using for drying braids I would use lower setting.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It says you use on clean wet hair, but I tried it on on dry hair and it didn’t work just frizzed out my ends and made it feel kinda dirty. So always make sure your hair is wet using this product for best results!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The different numbers is the amount of tension. 1 meaning no tension and 7 (i think thats the highest) meaning a lot of tension. If you are looking to stretch your hair I recommend choosing an option closer to 7. I use it on dry hair all the time to stretch my curls for a certain look. however I try to lightly mist my hair with water or a leave in, then stretch it. then follow up with a light oil.
