- Answer The Cord is quite long I would say at least 4 foot, I had to wrap up the excess and tie it off for my truck, And the plug in should work with your protective cover. And I will also add I really like this unit, I purchased it for my 2000 Chevy Truck to use the hands free through my radio and it works Great

QuestionWill the air from the vent be heard over the microphone? Is the mic noise cancelling? I don't want to have to yell over the ac in order for someone on the other end of the phone to hear me.
