Loop records 24/7.  It also has a park feature that I believe will only record when it detects movement.

Yes, it loops over eventually, your video files are 3 minute segments. Depending on how large your sd card is, it will work for weeks and weeks (if not months) before it loops over and re-records over old videos. If you have an issue, simply pull the card and copy the file to your computer to save it forever! Or pop in a new SD card! it is very simple.

Only if your power source stays on when you turn the vehicle off. Mine turns on and off with the ignition. I guess you could have it hard wired.
