The cameras themselves will not connect to public WiFi on their own, and they do not have a cellular connection. That means they cannot give out their location or transmit data directly to your phone unless your phone is connected to the camera via WiFi Direct. So the cameras cannot be tracked in this manner, neither the images they can pick up nor the location. You would need to be in close proximity to the camera in order for your phone to make any wireless connection to the camera at all, similar to how Android Auto and Apple Carplay connect your phone to your radio through WiFi Direct (or wired) + Bluetooth. Short answer: there is no mobile phone app, or other software, which is commercially available to consumers which will allow any sort of tracking of these cameras. That isn't to say it is impossible - who knows what lurks inside our wireless recording devices' operating software these days. (See: Ring Search Party)
