You may have it on a timed recording period. I would check your settings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use your phone to designate times you don't want it to activate. That being said, I also have questions . . . My zones are set to capture the entire front yard, street and neighbors' yards. It's not uncommon to hear a truck leave. It's the neighbor and my camera didn't get it. I find packages at my front door and the camera didn't get the UPS truck approaching or the driver taking it to my door. I sometimes check to see how long it took me to get someplace. When I check activity, it doesn't show my driving out of my garage.

The Ring Stick Up Cam is designed with customizable motion detection and the ability to be adjusted according to your needs and environment. We recommend that you remove any motion schedules that may be in place for this device. You can find the "Motion Schedules" tab under the "Motion Settings" on the device's page in the Ring app. You can edit each Motion Schedule to avoid getting Motion Alerts during certain times and days. Open the Ring app. Tap the top Menu (≡). Tap Devices. Select the device you'd like to apply the Motion Schedule to. Tap Motion Settings. Tap Motion Schedules. Under Motion Schedules, select the Motion Schedule you'd like to edit (e.g. Schedule 1). Tap on the schedule you've created and edit the Name, Timeframe, and Days of the Week. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently." If any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Stick Up Cam, please reach out to our community. Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another and share their feedback and experiences directly with Ring. Thank you, Melissa from Ring.
