“Can the sensor be mounted to a sliding glass door? If so, where on the sliding glass door and how would it be mounted to a sliding glass door sliding from a metal frame that is about 1.5 inches incused in the door frame? Please see photo.”

If your door or window has a unique frame, size, structure or molding, you may want to take a creative approach to mounting the Ring Alarm Contact Sensor (2nd generation). You can even mount the Contact Sensor on a casement window using this method. Before you can begin mounting the Sensor, you first need to follow the steps in the app and add it to your Ring Alarm.
