Thank you for your question. The Ring Alarm Contact Sensor is designed to be used inside the home and is not recommended for use on a garage door. We do have a partnership with Ecolink and their Garage Door Tilt Sensor, which can be paired and setup with the Ring Alarm system through the ring app.
