Yes, you will receive notifications when doors are opened. You can always adjust the settings in the app as to how much or how little notifications you receive.

I think this service is free as I pay for the expanded service so I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure it is. I pay for the unlimited storage space for video recordings. But again, I'm pretty sure what you're asking is free.
