• I have 4 Ring leak detectors for almost 3 years now, I haven't replaced the batteries yet.

• Hello, Great question! The Flood & Freeze Sensor is powered using a 3V lithium battery CR123A. Ring’s Flood & Freeze sensor will detect water where it's installed or when the temperature drops below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Should the sensor detect these things, it will send a notification to the Ring Alarm Base Station and alert you of a water leak or a heating system issue inside your home that needs immediate attention.
