• A:Answer Hello Ahura. Great question! The Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor is designed to monitor glass windows or doors for break-in attempts. When armed, the Glass Break Sensor will trigger your Ring Alarm when breaking glass is detected. You can customize which alarm modes the Glass Break Sensor will actively detect for breaking glass. You’ll want to mount the Glass Break Sensor at least 7 feet off the ground and within 25 feet of any glass windows or doors inside your home. Likewise, you may also choose to mount it on the ceiling or place the device on a shelf. Avoid placing the device on surfaces such as tables or shelves where items are frequently set down and picked up.
