“If you have to be on WiFi to get notifications on on your phone weather it be alarm or camera? If so what good is this if I’m not on WiFi when I’m away from home”

Your phone doesn’t have to be on WiFi to get notifications. You can use your phone however you normally use it and you will get all of your notifications. It’s a great system. Installed mine a month ago along with the ring pro doorbell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You don’t have to be on WiFi on your mobile phone, you just have to have some kind of internet connection. What you do have to have is WiFi at home for it to work for any cameras. If the internet connection goes down and the alarm system switches to cellular backup, you can access the alarm system with your phone for 15 minutes and then the system goes into power saving mode. The cameras would not be accessible without an internet connection.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I get notifications about my alarm system when i am running on moble data. Maybe its a setting on your phone that wont let you receive the notification, that was my issue since i always have power saver mode on my phone.
