I only have the interior camera but it sees the entire length of my condo about 50 feet. I can turn it off and on from my iPad and view it from anywhere. I do know they make a camera with and without lights for the exterior of a home and the system is very well made. Once you own a Ring system they will send you crime alerts in your neighborhood and I do see some videos posted that are from exterior cameras. Good luck.
