A:AnswerRing only has 3 or 4 options for the sounds. So I set each door to a different chime in order to know which door is opening. (i.e. our front door has the “ding dong” sound). Hope that helps.
A:AnswerYou have the ability to select in the Ring Alarm settings which notifications you receive on email and which on text or both. So you can receive a text alert which if you have sound associated with new texts you would have an audible alert. Beyond that, there is no other way.
A:AnswerNo. You need WiFi and the app. But the app is free and you don’t have to buy any subscriptions. If you don’t want to use WiFi then you should just go with a traditional alarm system.
A:AnswerYes! The kit comes with one each of Base Station, Keypad, Motion Detector, Contact Sensor and Range Extender. You can buy additional sensors and motion detectors. And programming each of them in to to your Ring Alarm System is easy.
A:AnswerI only have the interior camera but it sees the entire length of my condo about 50 feet. I can turn it off and on from my iPad and view it from anywhere. I do know they make a camera with and without lights for the exterior of a home and the system is very well made. Once you own a Ring system they will send you crime alerts in your neighborhood and I do see some videos posted that are from exterior cameras. Good luck.
A:AnswerYes but realize if you are talking about cameras, they only record what is in the motion field that you define. For example the camera view may include 500 yards but you could lower the motion detection area to 20 yards and then it would only record the motion in that 20 yard area.
