The contact sensors only trigger if they are separated as if a door or window is opened. For a break in you would want the motion sensor. The motion sensor does not know you from a burglar so set the alarm for "home" when you are home and "away" when you leave.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It does not detect vibration. It is a contact sensor. When the magnet moves too far away from the sensor, it goes off. I assume your talking about the motion (monitor) sensors. They only detect a warm body, not who. If your talking about arming/disarming, if you give everyone their own code, the system knows who is doing it. In fact, that is the way the system is designed.
