“With our ADT system even when the system is off, if a outside door is opened will get a beep on the keypad that tells us which door was opened. This is a good feature when you have a pool in the backyard. Does the Ring system perform this way?”

I've had ADT systems in the past also. It does the same exact thing. With Ring, you can turn the option on or off, and can set it to send the alert to your phone also if you want.
