If you want to SEE your house, yes, if you just want to monitor it's security, No. The App works fine without cameras. My office has Ring Alarm and Ring Cameras, but at home, just the alarm. Works great with the Kwikset 914 deadbolt, too, locking and unlocking the door will arm and disarm the alarm for you. I like it.
