Ring has a 2018 product section. Indoor cameras are on the list along with several other attractive sensors and lighting products. They allow you to sign up for notification when they hit the market. As far as the "Brains", Ring has a base station which is separate from the key pads. It can be located and/or mounted out of ease of discovery and quick smash. The key pads and sensors (motion, door/window, and future ones) are Z-wave affixed to the base station.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ring does have "stick up" cameras that can be located in the house. The keypads, even if destroyed by an intruder will not stop the base unit from sending the alarm.

Also, the Ring Alarm Base Station and not the Keypad is the central controller for the Ring Alarm security solution. The Base Station connects to the other Ring Alarm devices like the Keypad and keeps track of the overall state of the system.
