Yes and yes. There were no changes to my Ring plan upon activation.

A Ring Protect Solo plan is tied to a specific device and cannot be directly transferred to a new one. To use your existing plan benefits for your new doorbell, you will need to log into your account at Ring.com to cancel the plan on your old device, and then subscribe to a new plan for your new Ring Battery Doorbell. If you have a Ring Protect Multi or Pro Plan, any new Ring device set up at the same subscribed location will automatically attach to your existing plan. As for compatibility, yes, the Ring Battery Doorbell works with the Ring Chime Pro. Once both devices are set up in the Ring app, you can link them so the Chime Pro will sound when someone presses the doorbell or when motion is detected. We invite you to reach out to our community if any additional information is needed regarding your question. The Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another by sharing their feedback and experiences with each other. Thank you, Miyuki from Ring.
