no - the ring has it's own network - and you can share with your neighbors - we do not - there is a small yearly fee...can't remember - but its worth it

Please try again later.You need to 1) consider your security needs to determine the number of cameras that you need; 2) dependent on the determined location, whether you can hardwire the camera or need a battery camera; 3) if battery, how many batteries you really want to replace and how easy to replace. The Orbi only sees each Ring camera as a device; so you need to consider how many other devices you have on your Orbi and if your wifi plan can accommodate these additional devices. The security cameras are not essential but convenient when you are on the premises but crucial when you are away...thus the need for the Ring plan to view why you are receiving an alert and to take action if needed. The live view only provides the view in real time which may not too helpful. I only pay $100 annual fee for my Ring plan to cover all my Ring devices.
